Job Details

Daily Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform tests on technical solutions to identify, isolate, and resolve issues.
  • Initiate test activities, analyze results, and develop solutions for technical problems.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, QA processes, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) procedures for product management and software development teams.
  • Design and support user interface testing applications and regression testing software.
  • Test software applications to ensure reliability, stability, and performance.
  • Implement testing programs for quality assurance, including negative testing and usability testing.
  • Lead quality assessment projects to identify security weaknesses, defects, and optimization opportunities.
  • Design and/or execute automated testing scripts and oversee test deployment.
  • Create and maintain quality assurance documentation and reports.
  • Adhere to established software testing governance policies, best practices, and guidelines; recommend improvements.
  • Maintain databases with product defects, user feedback, survey information, and functional enhancement requests.
  • Collaborate with product development teams and software engineers to recommend solutions that optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections in alignment with governance standards.

Required Skills (Ranked by Importance)

Candidates must have the ability to:

  • 3+ years experience translating business requirements or policy documents into test cases and testing scenarios.
  • 3+ years experience building test cases and scenarios within test systems.
  • 2+ years experience testing IBM Curam software.
  • Document and support development of test scenarios and test case execution.
  • Effectively communicate and publish status reports on open issues and defects.
  • Clearly articulate issues and gaps to development teams.

Preferred Skills (Ranked by Importance)

  • 5+ years experience in large enterprise or e-business systems.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare operations, preferably Medicaid.
  • Proficiency with the Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Prior experience working within a standard SDLC (Waterfall) as well as Agile methodologies.

Required Education

  • Bachelor s degree in a technical, business, or related field.
  • Equivalent years of experience may substitute for formal education.

Certifications

  • No required certifications.
  • Technical and/or Project Management certifications from recognized sources are desirable.
