Application/Full Stack Java Developer

Mindbank Consulting Group is seeking experienced Application Developers / Full Stack Developers to support the design, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise-scale web applications in a complex, data-driven environment. This is a bid and, therefore, these are anticipated opportunities. NO THIRD PARTIES!

This role involves developing custom applications, integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable systems that support critical business and decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle and enjoys translating functional requirements into reliable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

·         Design, develop, integrate, and maintain custom applications and COTS-based solutions

·         Enhance existing systems by implementing bug fixes, performance improvements, and new functionality

·         Integrate COTS platforms into broader workflows while ensuring a cohesive and intuitive user experience

·         Collaborate with engineering, data, reporting, and domain stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs

·         Design and implement secure APIs to support data exchange between internal and external systems

·         Perform unit and integration testing, debugging, and defect resolution to ensure system stability and reliability

·         Create and maintain technical documentation, including API specifications, architecture notes, and integration guidance

·         Ensure solutions comply with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements

·         Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities, including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement efforts

Required Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

·         5+ years of professional experience as a full stack developer in enterprise environments

·         Strong proficiency in Java 8+ and modern software development practices

·         Experience integrating and extending COTS solutions

·         Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies

·         Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs

·         Experience working in cloud-based environments (AWS or comparable platforms)

·         Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Experience with some or all of the following technologies is preferred:

·         Languages & Frameworks: Java (8+), Groovy, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, R (including R Shiny), Spring Boot, Grails

·         Front-End Technologies: Angular, React

·         Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS Lambda

·         Databases & Data Stores: SQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Neo4j, Redis

·         Integration & Middleware: REST APIs / Web Services, MuleSoft

·         Platforms & Tools: Tomcat, Artifactory, CI/CD pipelines, AI-assisted development tools
