Job Description:
We’re looking for an experienced Atlassian Engineer to play a critical part in streamlining operations, improving documentation standards, and enabling automation that drives efficiency and visibility. This role requires you to be onsite 3-4 days per week to work closely with internal teams to design, develop, and enhance Atlassian-based solutions, specifically in Jira and Confluence.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain custom scripts and macros for Atlassian Confluence and Jira using tools like ScriptRunner, Groovy, and Atlassian SDK
  • Design and optimize automated workflows to improve team collaboration and process efficiency
  • Integrate Atlassian tools with 3rd party platforms using REST APIs and custom plugins
  • Extend Atlassian capabilities through Java development and Atlassian APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Establish best practices and documentation standards across Confluence spaces and Jira projects.
  • Conduct system upgrades, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain platform performance.
  • Provide mentorship and support on Atlassian tooling and automation practices.

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of professional experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira)
  • Proficiency in Groovy and JavaScript for scripting with Atlassian environments
  • Experience with Atlassian SDK, REST APIs, and webhooks
  • Proven track record of developing complex workflows and automations within Jira and Confluence
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD practices
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience with enterprise-scale Jira or Confluence migrations
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles
  • Familiarity with additional Atlassian Marketplace apps and tools
  • Atlassian certifications is a plus

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
