Job Details

Job Title: Platform Engineer Platform (Kubernetes PaaS)
Location: US-Based Remote or Las Vegas (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-Month Contract Engagement

Note: Includes 2 weeks of unpaid knowledge transfer (KT) for onboarding and alignment with the client team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters using tools such as Rafay, vCluster, and Crossplane.
  • Develop and maintain Terraform modules for infrastructure provisioning and service catalog integration.
  • Implement Knative eventing, pod overlay networks, and service mesh components.
  • Define and enforce security and compliance policies using OPA (Open Policy Agent) and Kyverno.
  • Support compliance with enterprise security standards and ensure thorough audit logging.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and platform operations workflows.
  • Integrate and support observability tools and SIEM platforms.
  • Lead and participate in architectural discussions supporting AI-driven SaaS and microservices initiatives.
  • Drive cloud migration strategies and enterprise platform modernization efforts.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure platform capabilities align with business goals.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation (GitHub) and user-facing content (Confluence).
  • Provide L2/L3 support for platform-related issues and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • 7 10 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.
  • Proven expertise in enterprise architecture and platform strategy.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and Crossplane.
  • Solid scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, Hadoop, Spark, and AI/ML frameworks, including GenAI (e.g., OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock).
  • Experience across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid networking environments.
  • Knowledge of OAuth, OIDC, JWT, Amazon Cognito, and IAM governance.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
