Job Title: Controls Lead- PLC Programming & Commissioning - (No OPT)
Location: Eagle Mountains, Utah
Industry Expertise: Data Center is required
Job Summary:
Works on control system projects; leads in hardware and software design, development, integration, testing, and installation support. Listens, takes direction, and seeks guidance from the assigned project leads, the supervisors, and company leadership.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science; Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or other pertinent curriculum combined with relevant technical experience.
Previous experience with PLC Programming & Commissioning (i.e. Schneider EcoStruxure/Schneider preferred or Rockwell PLC acceptable.). Typically, 5+ years total experience.
Experienced with Building Management Systems and/or Electrical Power Monitoring Systems
Technical Responsibilities:
Expert in reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and controls construction drawings and wiring diagrams. Able to provide feedback regarding field conditions versus drawings.
Experienced with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) or Direct Digital Controls (DDC) applications. Previous experience with PLC Programming & Commissioning (i.e. Schneider EcoStruxure/Schneider preferred or Rockwell PLC acceptable.). Typically, 5+ years total experience.
Expert in understanding, practicing, and guiding others in the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
Firm understanding of and ability to independently design complex Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring (EPMS) control system designs.
Familiarity with BACnet and Modbus
Integrate mechanical and electrical equipment such as Rooftop Units, Air Handling Units, VAV boxes, Chillers/Pumps, Computer Room AC Units, Switchgear, Power Quality Meters, Generators, Transformers, Static and Automatic Transfer switches, and Power Distribution Units.
Develop Aveva System Platform SCADA templates where needed
Provide support to field engineers during start-up and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems
