Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior QA Manager/Test Lead with strong leadership and hands-on experience in manual and automated testing, especially within the banking and finance domain. The candidate will be responsible for managing test strategy, test case design, execution, reporting, and providing technical direction to both manual and automation teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage test strategy, test plans, and comprehensive test documentation.

  • Lead manual testing for web and mobile platforms, including core banking systems.

  • Perform functional, non-functional, and API testing using Postman or Rest Assured.

  • Facilitate as an SME to automation teams using Selenium, Java, and BDD frameworks.

  • Use JIRA and Xray for test management, defect tracking, and reporting.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Dev, Product, and Stakeholders.

  • Analyze and report test outcomes and help drive defect resolution and process improvement.

  • Maintain traceability of requirements to test cases and ensure full coverage.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in software testing in enterprise-level environments.

  • Minimum 5+ years in Banking/Finance domain.

  • Hands-on expertise in:

    • Web and Mobile testing

    • SQL and database testing

    • API testing (Postman, Rest Assured)

    • JIRA, Xray test management

    • Selenium, Java, BDD automation (2 4 years)

  • Proven ability in test leadership, team coordination, and cross-functional communication.

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).


Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Certifications in Software QA or Testing (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.)

  • Familiarity with performance and security testing methodologies.

  • Experience with continuous integration (CI/CD) tools.


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure in fast-paced, deadline-driven projects.
