Akkodis is seeking a Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer for a contract job with a client in Dearborn, MI. You willdesign and deploy scalable data engineering solutions on Google Cloud Platform using tools like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub to support enterprise analytics.
Rate Range: $62/hour to 68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Pay Details: $62.00 to $68.00 per hour

Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform using tools like BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Data Fusion.
- Ingest, transform, and integrate large datasets from various sources to support analytics and machine learning initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, build reusable data products, and ensure data quality and governance.
- Automate data workflows and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform, Jenkins, and Cloud Composer for efficient deployment and monitoring.
- Optimize data storage and processing performance while ensuring security, reliability, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Support real-time and batch data processing and contribute to the modernization of data platforms using Google Cloud Platform-native services.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years in analytics application development and 3+ years in cloud-based data engineering (Google Cloud Platform preferred).
- Proven experience designing and deploying data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Airflow.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or Java, with hands-on experience in real-time and batch data processing at production scale.
