We are searching for an Enterprise Architect who will provide architecture support for Product Development (PD) at Ford Motor Company. To thrive in this position, you will need to have the Business and IT Architecture expertise and desire to work with Product Team (both business and IT) members to deliver an Enterprise Digital Thread that spans across Product Development (PD) and its integrations with Purchasing, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, and Customer Experience.

  • Collaborate with Business and IT stakeholders to formulate and document strategic initiatives and holistic solution proposals for a seamless end-to-end ecosystem.
  • Create cross-functional Information Domain Blueprints encompassing information modeling, data standards, and comprehensive data mapping and analysis.
  • Develop architectural blueprints and transformational roadmaps for modernization of Product Development (PD) products such as PLM, Bill of Materials, Systems Engineering, Design, and Verification, fostering collaboration across functional domains and Business, IT, and enterprise architecture teams.
  • Ensure that architectural proposals adhere to established standards and guidelines.
  • Provide senior-level leadership with solution definition, architecture insights, and decision-making support.
  • Conduct research projects, including in AI/ML and other emerging trends, that inform and shape the development of business and information architecture.
  • Support IT teams in the seamless transition from strategy to development and delivery phases and in creating technical designs and documentation for new features and functionalities.
  • Define solution architectures in alignment with Ford Motor Company's established patterns, standards, and reference architectures.
  • Actively engage in stand-up meetings and assist delivery teams.


The minimum requirements we seek:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years overall Business/IT experience in process definition and documentation

Our preferred requirement
  • Proficient in business consulting with strong facilitation, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage, develop work plans, and employ effective methods to navigate ambiguity and foster consensus for architectural solutions in legacy and cloud-native paradigms.
  • Familiarity with Product Development processes and tools within Ford or similar organizations. These include PLM, Bill of Materials, ALM, and Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Exceptional time management and digital proficiency, utilizing tools such as MS Office.
  • Proven leadership skills in working with senior management to facilitate decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, including leading problem-solving teams.
  • Self-motivated individual who can work autonomously or collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Experience in process modeling frameworks like BPMN and process automation tools
  • Expertise in interoperability standards and methods
  • Experience with architecture governance processes and conducting architecture reviews and evaluations.
  • Experience in liaising with external suppliers and vendors for consultancy and procurement solutions.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently.
