Perform a variety of experiments as directed by the lead scientists with the objective of the development and characterization of high brightness ion and electron sources.

Design and build ultra-high vacuum test stands for specified surface science experiments/development of next generation electron sources.

Laser and Focused Ion Beam (FIB) matching of macro- and nano-structures with laser and FIB.

Evaluate, report, and present experimental results to other scientists and determine business decision from results.

Using scientific techniques and standard computer software such as Excel, R, Python, and Julia, write scripts to extract and perform statistics on experimental data.

Develop and test new laboratory and instrument control software.

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment.

Position supervise 1 Senior Intern.

Willing to travel up to 2% domestic and international.
