Key Responsibilities:
Architectural Leadership & Strategy
Architect and implement an enterprise-grade data migration framework to support Penn State University s varied and complex systems and processes.
Help develop robust ER data models that ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance.
Help review / complete data migration mapping spreadsheets / criteria with functional teams.
Establish architectural standards, governance practices, and a golden source data strategy aligned with institutional goals and higher ed data needs.

Informatica ETL & Integration
Design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows transforming, cleansing, and unifying data across disparate systems.
Ensure rigorous data validation, logging, error handling, and operational monitoring to maintain data quality throughout migration processes.
Knowledge of the Informatica platform including its capabilities and limits preferred.

Lead cross-functional teams (data engineers, admins, business stakeholders), managing timelines, risks, and deliverables with clarity.
Translate complex business requirements into scalable, reliable technical solutions.
Manage stakeholder communication: set expectations, report progress, escalate risks, and ensure transparent decision-making.

Oversee migration execution: scheduling, job monitoring, troubleshooting failures, root cause analysis, and applying corrective actions
Maintain detailed technical documentation ETL mappings, data dictionaries, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and support manuals.
Coordinate with IT teams to ensure alignment with university-wide data security, compliance, and disaster recovery standards.
