We are seeking a skilled and experienced PeopleSoft Consultant / HCM Solutions Architect with deep expertise in PeopleSoft HCM 8.9, Payroll for North America, and Absence Management. The ideal candidate will also have experience functioning as a Business Analyst, Quality Assurance Analyst, Test and Evaluation Analyst, capable of gathering requirements, designing test plans, executing test cases, and ensuring system integrity in a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

PeopleSoft Functional Expertise:

  • Configure and support PeopleSoft HCM 8.9, specifically in:
    • Payroll for North America Payroll processing, tax updates, retro-pay, garnishments.
    • Absence Management Entitlement rules, absence forecasting, calendar configuration.
  • Analyze and resolve production issues within Payroll and Absence modules.
  • Collaborate with technical teams for code customization and upgrades.
  • Prepare and deliver functional design documents, process flows, and test documentation.

Business Analysis:

  • Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Conduct gap analysis and recommend PeopleSoft solutions aligning with business needs.
  • Work with business stakeholders to define objectives, scope, and deliverables.

Test & Evaluation Analyst:

  • Design, plan, and execute test strategies, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Conduct system, integration, user acceptance (UAT), and regression testing.
  • Validate and verify system functionalities against requirements.
  • Perform root cause analysis on test failures and log defects for resolution.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across modules and interfaces.
  • Maintain traceability of requirements through all testing phases.
  • Document QA processes and ensure compliance with best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience in PeopleSoft HCM, with focus on v8.9 or higher.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Payroll for North America and Absence Management.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst and QA/Test Analyst in PeopleSoft environments.
  • Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft testing tools (e.g., PUM, PeopleSoft Test Framework, or manual testing).
  • Familiarity with PeopleCode, SQL, and integration tools is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
