RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a DevOps Engineer III in Greenwood Village, CO.
Summary:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (Level III) to support the ongoing cloud transformation of a large-scale enterprise as it migrates from on-prem infrastructure to AWS and multi-cloud environments. This is a mid-level hands-on role focused on executing day-to-day DevOps operations, supporting infrastructure as code, and assisting in automation and monitoring initiatives. You'll work alongside senior engineers, contribute to the development of cloud-native tooling, and help ensure a smooth and secure migration to the cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute infrastructure changes and automation using Terraform or CloudFormation
* Write, maintain, and troubleshoot Python scripts to support automation tasks
* Support CI/CD pipeline maintenance and deployments
* Resolve incoming support and policy tickets related to IAM, permissions, and access
* Assist in maintaining monitoring and observability systems, especially Grafana and Datadog
* Participate in cloud provisioning, documentation, and compliance activities
* Collaborate with senior engineers on project work and team initiatives
* Learn and grow within a team committed to mentoring and upskilling
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5 years of hands-on DevOps or cloud engineering experience
* Experience with AWS, including IAM and basic networking
* Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
* Strong foundational knowledge of Python scripting
* Exposure to monitoring tools like Grafana and/or Datadog
* Ability to manage tickets, follow DevOps processes, and work in a fast-paced environment
Nice-to-Have Skills:
* Experience working in multi-account or multi-tenant AWS environments
* Familiarity with Kubernetes (especially EKS)
* Knowledge of OpenSearch or Elasticsearch
* Exposure to Azure or Google Cloud Platform cloud platforms
* Understanding of cloud networking and centralized data lake models
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
