Job Title: Cloud Compute Platform Architect

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Compute Platform Architect to design and manage a cutting-edge cloud compute platform based on SPIFFE. The ideal candidate will perform Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) responsibilities, including deployment, capacity management, observability, and performance tuning. You will collaborate closely with our Security Architecture team to define attestation methods for a variety of workloads across multiple compute platforms, while providing comprehensive support to engineering teams as they onboard to this innovative service.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Architecture: Design and implement a cloud compute platform leveraging SPIFFE and SPIRE.
SRE Operations: Oversee deployment, capacity planning, performance tuning, and observability.
Security Collaboration: Partner with the Security Architecture team to define workload attestations.
Support and Onboarding: Facilitate smooth onboarding of engineering teams to the new service.
Qualifications
< data-start="1547" data-end="1574">Technical Skills</>Cloud Platforms: Proficiency across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
Identity and Security: Strong expertise in SPIFFE, SPIRE, and federated trust models.
Kubernetes Expertise: In-depth understanding and practical experience with Kubernetes.
Cryptography Knowledge: Solid grasp of x509 certificates and associated cryptographic concepts.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Advanced experience using Terraform and similar tools.
CI/CD Processes: Proficient in CI/CD pipelines and source control systems, such as GitHub.
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or Site Reliability Engineer in enterprise environments.
Demonstrated ability to operate and support cloud-based services at a large scale.
Strong understanding of heterogeneous compute platforms and large enterprise systems.
Customer-centric mindset with a strong focus on user experience.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Confidence and efficiency in managing enterprise-level solutions.
