Data Loss Prevention Analyst

We re seeking a Senior Data Loss Prevention Analyst to drive enterprise data protection and governance initiatives. This role will design and implement data classification and labeling programs using Microsoft Purview and Varonis, ensuring secure data discovery, permissions analysis, and compliance.

As the organization prepares to deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot, you ll play a key role in safeguarding sensitive data from unauthorized AI access. This position serves as a subject matter expert, partnering with IT, Security, and Procurement teams to strengthen data governance across the enterprise.

*This role will require onsite work in Austin, TX*

Top Skills:

• 6+ years in Data Governance and Information Protection

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and Varonis

• Expertise in DLP, data classification, labeling, and permissions management

• Knowledge of data security architecture, policy design, and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)

• Excellent communication and leadership across cross-functional teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience implementing AI governance controls (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot)

• Familiarity with vendor management and procurement workflows

Education:
Bachelor s degree in Information Security, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field required.
