Minimum Requirements:
5 years of advanced experience with ITIL configuration management principles, including development of CM policies and processes
5 years of experience maintaining and supporting CMDB platforms like BMC Helix, ServiceNow, or Atlassian
5 years of demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
4 years performing configuration audits and ensuring compliance with CM plans and objectives
4 years verifying and auditing configuration status to ensure CIs align with technical and business specifications
3-5 years of experience as a Configuration Manager or in a similar role overseeing ITSM processes
Current ITIL 4 Foundation certification

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in Configuration Management to support its IT Service Management operations.
This role involves reviewing and evaluating business systems and processes, aligning technical solutions with strategic goals, and managing the configuration lifecycle of critical IT assets.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of ITIL-based configuration management, and hands-on experience with CMDB platforms.

Responsibilities:
Analyze business processes and user needs to design effective system solutions aligned with organizational goals
Prepare documentation including user requirements, system workflows, solution options, cost/benefit analyses, and implementation steps
Support business process mapping and reengineering initiatives to identify and implement improvements
Lead and maintain the configuration management process to ensure accuracy and control of Configuration Items (CIs)
Develop, implement, and monitor the Configuration Management Plan in accordance with HHSC policies and ITSM standards
Coordinate with IT teams to define CI identifications and manage configuration changes
Conduct configuration audits to verify completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established CM procedures
Oversee CMDB tools such as BMC Helix, ServiceNow, and Atlassian, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, infrastructure, applications, and ITSM to enforce CM strategy and best practices
