Daily Tasks Performed:
- Responsible for assembling project plans and team work assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review, and escalating functional and quality timeline issues appropriately.
- Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources
- Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.
- Manages one or more cross-functional projects of high complexity.
- Ability to play the primary role of Sr. PM, but also have the ability to learn the business aspects/domain at a high level to help deliver the project and business solution.
- Responsible for the management of one or more medium to large-sized, moderate to high complex projects.
- Plan vs. Actual cost checks issues/resolutions, schedule management and status reporting.
- Prepare detailed project presentations and facilitate meetings with management to report project progress and status.
- Prepare and send weekly project status reports.
What will this person be working on Projects involving SaaS and other open platforms. These projects will follow Waterfall or Agile methodology.
Position Success Criteria (Desired) - 'WANTS' Musts
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent experience.
- Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is preferred.
- Advanced understanding and ability to manage complex program and project budgets.
- Advanced ability in implementing program and project plans, monitoring progress, resource usage, and quality.
- Advanced knowledge in conducting risk assessments and developing plans for eliminating or mitigating the risks identified Business Experience 10 to 12 years of IT work experience 5 years managing projects
- Capability in managing project budgets and forecast spending
- Experience reviewing contract terms (e.g. Statement of Work)
- Experience with Confluence and Jira
- Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint
Wants
- Able to converse work with architecture/technical teams
- Strong decision analysis skills-particularly in recommending the right direction/method/tool for an opportunity.
- Experience in managing projects where there are more than 1 or more sub project components reporting to a common project lead/manager
