Sr. Technology Business Analyst (Engineering/Windchill)

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. Business Analyst for a remote consulting opportunity with one of our premier manufacturing clients.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Technology Business Analyst to support and enhance our engineering software ecosystem, with a strong focus on PTC Windchill and related CAD/CAE tools. This role will serve as a critical liaison between engineering, IT, and software vendors to ensure that our systems meet business needs, support product development, and align with digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Software & Windchill Support:

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Windchill PLM and its integration with CAD tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Manage user access, roles, and permissions within Windchill.
• Support configuration, customization, and upgrades of Windchill and related engineering applications.

Business Analysis & Process Improvement:

• Gather and document business requirements from engineering and product development teams.
• Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for process automation and optimization.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and system enhancements.

Project Management & Implementation:

• Lead or support projects involving the deployment or enhancement of engineering software tools.
• Coordinate with IT and vendors to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
• Conduct system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Training & Documentation:

• Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for engineering software users.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, workflows, and best practices.

Data & Integration Management:

• Ensure data integrity and consistency across engineering systems and enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, PLM).
• Support integration efforts between Windchill and other business systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with PTC Windchill (administration, configuration, or user support).
• Familiarity with engineering software such as Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or ANSYS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with PLM-ERP integration
• Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Windchill APIs).
• Understanding product development lifecycle and change management processes.
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
