We are seeking an Operations Engineering Manager with a strong foundation in both product development and operations engineering to join our team in a permanent capacity. Job Details

As a key player in our manufacturing organization, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across all areas of production. You will be responsible for implementing strategies that enhance product design, streamline processes, and achieve measurable goals across quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity (QDIP).

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team of engineers and technicians.
  • Oversee the intersection of product development and manufacturing operations, ensuring new products are designed with scalable, cost-effective production in mind.
  • Drive initiatives to achieve and exceed QDIP metrics.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen principles to improve workflow efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Manage the design, installation, and optimization of manufacturing systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to align product and operational goals.
  • Leverage insights from operational metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Stay current on industry trends and implement new technologies to enhance capabilities.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality throughout the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an operations or product development engineering leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Background in electronics and mechanical systems required; software experience is a strong plus.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and achieving QDIP goals.
  • Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in both process optimization and new product introduction (NPI).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with emerging manufacturing technologies and best practices.
