Digital Program Associate- Data Analysis The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank whose mission is Financing Infrastructure for Tomorrow in Asia and beyond-infrastructure with sustainability at its core. The Information Technology Department (ITD) provides technical services in the areas of digital services, IT-related procurement, cybersecurity, IT risk and resilience, data management, digital learning, and digital transformation, ensuring their overall alignment with the Bank's needs and priorities. The team oversees the development and refinement of the IT strategy as well as the effective management of technology resources and the provision of technical support across Bank operations. These efforts are critical to fostering a digital and data-driven culture within the Bank aligned with its Corporate Strategy, promoting the innovation of digital infrastructures, and ensuring the smooth operation and security of daily banking functions.
ITD is looking for a Digital Program Associate - Data Analysis who will contribute to the design and development of AIIB's data ecosystem by providing value-added data analysis to harness data insights. The Data Associate will be responsible for gathering, interpreting, and analyzing data requirements using techniques from various disciplines, including business analysis, data analysis, computer programming, mathematics, statistics, etc. The role also entails communicating with the technical team as well as business counterparties. The role is onsite in Beijing, China

Responsibilities:
  • Closely work with business stakeholders, understand business data process, gather and streamline data requirements and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Perform specific domain - Treasury data analysis, research and retain data knowledge from Treasury business system, translate data requirements to technical specifications; collaborate with the project manager and implementation team to support the design and delivery of solutions that meet business requirements, including but not limited to data solutions, business intelligence solutions, self-service solutions, etc.
  • Lead Treasury data solution testing and assist troubleshooting, guide users with new data products and services, and facilitate user training and focus group discussions.
  • Perform root cause analysis on Treasury data quality issues and reporting processes to answer specific business questions in support of data solution operations.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities and proactively identify new opportunities and potential gaps for solution optimization.
  • Support data culture awareness training and sharing.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree from a reputable university in a relevant field such as business analysis, data analysis, computer science, information management, financial engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least four years of work experience as a data analyst and/or business analyst or relevant experience in business analysis, data analysis, financial analysis, statistics, and research methods
  • Strong technical capability in MS SQL and familiar with BI and data visualization tools, like - PowerBI, Tableau,Python
  • Working knowledge in Treasury products is required, and knowledge of lending, portfolio management, and cooperative reporting is a plus.
  • A team player with the ability to develop positive and collaborative relationships with business partners and effectively communicate with both business and technology data stakeholders.
  • A self-motivated performer with the ability to deal with ambiguity, adaptive to evolving business models, and able to drive results and support business technical requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for various audiences at different levels across the organization. Demonstrated technical documentation skill is a must. Fluent in written and oral English.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn),experience in designing machine learning and AI applications to effectively optimize business processes and support better decision-making would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing deliverables in agile environments would be an advantage.
