Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and administer Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), including domain controllers, Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, and DHCP.
Design, deploy, and support cloud infrastructure, primarily Azure (or AWS), such as VMs, storage, networking, and cloud backup solutions.
Manage Windows client systems, applying updates, security patches, and endpoint protections.
Implement and manage Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), VPNs, and secure remote access solutions.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and maintain SLAs.
Perform routine backups and disaster recovery testing, including Azure-based recovery strategies.
Collaborate with IT teams, leadership, and external vendors to support new projects and system enhancements.
Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications

10+ years of experience as a Windows System Administrator in enterprise environments.
Hands-on expertise with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory management.
Proven experience with cloud platforms especially Azure, AWS, or Microsoft 365 admin/infra.
Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, task automation, and remote management tools.
Strong knowledge of backup, DR, and disaster recovery processes (Azure Site Recovery, Veeam).
Excellent troubleshooting, communications, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or equivalent cloud certification.
Experience with MFA, Conditional Access, and Azure AD Connect synchronization.
Familiarity with networking (VPN, firewalls) in hybrid environments.
Knowledge of education sector IT requirements and compliance standards.
Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, SCOM, SolarWinds).
