* Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS application integration, performance management and data base administration.
* Advanced knowledge of upgrading DB2 for z/OS.
* Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS catalog maintenance.
* Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS sub-system point in time recovery.
* Advanced knowledge of JCL.
* In depth knowledge of the z/OS integrated platform.
* In depth knowledge of CA GEN model management and application object support.
* In depth knowledge of ISPF.
* In depth knowledge of the ASG Scheduler.
* In depth knowledge of COBOL.
* In depth knowledge of the use and interpretation of DB2 for z/OS database monitoring tools.
* In depth knowledge of the use and interpretation of z/OS software monitoring tools.
* In depth knowledge of technical infrastructure implementation planning and coordinating.
* Solid working knowledge of z/OS started task creation and management.
* Solid working knowledge of IBI z/OS service support.
* Solid working knowledge of AFOPER commands.
* Solid working knowledge of RACF.
* Solid working knowledge of CICS.
* Solid working knowledge of IOF.
* Solid working knowledge of the technical requirements of Disaster Recovery.
* Solid working knowledge of Oracle application integration, performance management and data base administration.
* Solid working knowledge of MSSQL application integration, performance management and data base administration.
* Solid working knowledge of verification testing techniques for infrastructure change management.
* Working knowledge of z/OS EXITs, BJS, Windows Servers, SSMS, SSRS, SSIS and Azure.

Primary Responsibilities

* Daily operational and database administration activities.
* Plan, design, implement, support for database structures.
* Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning.
* Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation.
* Perform SQL Code reviews.
* Assist with training/mentoring other technical staff This resource may also be required to perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested.

Education

Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
