Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months Contract-to-Hire

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to join a global financial services organization undergoing a major digital transformation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, React, and AWS with a passion for building scalable, high-performance systems.

This is an exciting contract-to-hire opportunity where you ll work on impactful projects, collaborate with talented engineers, and contribute to building innovative digital products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.

  • Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration with cloud-native systems.

  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) including analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions in an Agile environment.

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while following industry best practices.

  • Implement unit tests, automation, and CI/CD practices for continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of hands-on development experience with Java
Strong experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, and API Development
Proficiency with React.js and front-end integration
Knowledge of AWS Cloud Services (Lambda, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, etc.)
Experience with Node.js, REST APIs, and NoSQL / SQL databases
Familiarity with DevOps tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Bitbucket)
Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies

Preferred Skills

  • AWS Developer Certification or hands-on AWS experience

  • Familiarity with modern architecture patterns (Microservices, Event-driven)

  • Experience in financial services or insurance domains (nice to have)
