Summary:
The main function of a QA test analyst is to develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes. An entry-level QA test analyst will typically run scripts given to them; as they progress, the analyst is responsible for the development of scripts.
Job Responsibilities:
Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures.
Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability.
Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content.
Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
Create or maintain databases of known test defects.
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
Skills:
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
Basic knowledge of computer development software, such as Microsoft Visual Basic, Linux, JavaScript, etc.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field required.
0-2 years experience required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES/REQUIREMENTS:
Job Overview: Responsible to tackle mobile quality issues from various streams including data from Carrier, VOC, Supply Chain, Customer Care, B2B and Network Performance.
Mainly deal with issues after mobile product is launched in the market
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for the client carriers' marketing and engineering personnel on issues reported from market
- Perform stationary and field test of issue reproduction
- Communicate with internal R&D, carriers, and customers for the market issue reported and follow up
- Track, collect and analyze network KPI and other quality data in case of major issue is reported
- Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
Qualifications:
(Background and Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering or equivalent level of work experience
- Minimum 1-8 years of experience in wireless industry preferred in Mobile QA or Mobile testing
- Familiar with LTE and IMS/VoLTE Protocol
- Knowledge of Android infrastructure
- Familiar with Python, C++, Java
- Write / Review TCs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, or predictive analytics is a plus.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis, decision analysis and establish process mapping is a plus
