Our challenge
The IADA Data Analyst will be responsible for managing and executing the Group's Internal Audit Data Analytics program under the supervision of the Head of Data Analytics. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining data analytics routines to support audit activities, continuous monitoring, and management reporting. The analyst will leverage advanced data analytics tools and techniques to enhance understanding of risks and controls, automate audit testing, and analyze large volumes of data to identify anomalies, patterns, and trends.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $120k - $125k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute data analytics projects supporting internal audits.
- Develop data analytics routines for audit execution, continuous monitoring, and reporting.
- Design and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Use visualization tools to automate and enhance audit testing and monitoring.
- Collaborate with internal audit team members for achieving departmental goals.
- Support audit risk assessments and testing of controls through data analysis.
- Execute special projects and generate periodic or ad-hoc reports.
- 5-8+ years of relevant experience in internal or external audit, risk management, or related fields, including supervisory roles.
- Strong understanding of financial services industry and audit, risk, or technology functions.
- Proficiency in data extraction and analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, PySpark, SparkSQL.
- Experience with analytics and visualization tools: PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView.
- Familiarity with data management and ETL tools: Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SSIS, etc.
- Knowledge of data automation, scheduling, version control, and cloud data environments.
- Experience in banking, capital markets, treasury, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and time management skills.
- Ability to support interactions with regulatory authorities, audit committees, and senior leadership.
- Holds a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business, mathematics, computer science, or management information systems. May also hold an advanced or specialized degree and/or a professional certification (e.g., MBA, CPA, CA, CIA, CISA, CFE) or license relevant to the profession.
