About the Project: The D365 CRM Lead will be joining an established commercial real estate firm and will not only lead but take full ownership of a highly customized MS D365 CRM platform that is utilized across US markets. The D365 CRM Lead MUST be a strong Techno / Functional Leader, focusing on platform stability, adoption, training, and light enhancements and not new development. The D365 CRM Lead is a high-impact role with critical platform ownership and direct engagement with business and technology leadership.
- D365 CRM Environment: The CRM is heavily customized with non-standard code and entities, where out-of-the-box D365 knowledge will be insufficient. The CRM is viewed more as a Rolodex for contacts rather than a full sales funnel or pipeline tool. The sales funnel (pipelines / deal-flow structures) and project management aspects of this role are minimal, where previous experience would be helpful but is not required. Integration with external systems (ZoomInfo / LinkedIn) and internal systems (commission tracking, etc.) exist but are not mission critical for this role.
- D365 CRM Platform Adoption: The usage of the CRM Platform is optional for brokers, where no top-down enforcement exists. Because of this, the D365 CRM Lead must possess strong communication, negotiation, and user engagement skills to drive adoption across a non-technical, sales-focused population.
- Team / Technical Leadership – The D365 CRM Lead will guide a blended team (1 onshore / 3 offshore), owning offshore team management in terms of task prioritization, solution design approvals, assignments, and delivery oversight. The D365 CRM Lead will not have the traditional people management functions (reviews / succession planning) but will have input in replacing underperforming offshore team members, if necessary.
- Hands-on Development: Hands-on development is NOT the primary focus, but the Lead must remain technically involved to lead in triaging issues, contributing to architectural direction, and avoiding over-reliance on the offshore development team, who are not technically strong enough to work autonomously.
- Power Platform: The D365 CRM Lead must possess a strong familiarity with the Power Platform (PowerApps / Power Automate / PowerBI) with the ability to explain technical processes and workflows clearly to non-technical stakeholders and to sketch and understand high-level architectures.
- Documentation: Documentation for the CRM is limited, where some knowledge transfer was captured via audio recordings from previous sessions, but formal documentation is lacking. The Offshore Team does have the ability to fill in the gaps by providing continuity and live knowledge transfer to the D365 CRM Lead, in any areas that are lacking more formal documentation.
