We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) efforts for a key project based in Jefferson City, MO. This position will involve managing project activities to ensure compliance, quality, and alignment with project objectives, industry standards, and client requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in both project management and IV&V methodologies, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee IV&V initiatives throughout the software development lifecycle.
Independently assess project processes, deliverables, and performance metrics.
Identify risks, issues, and improvement opportunities in the project delivery.
Ensure compliance with client specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
Develop detailed IV&V reports and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams and client representatives to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
Maintain documentation, track project progress, and manage timelines and resources effectively.
Required Qualifications:
IV&V Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience conducting Independent Verification and Validation activities, preferably in large-scale IT projects.
Project Management Experience: At least 5 years of experience in managing complex projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Certification: Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is mandatory.
Preferred Skills:
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Experience working with government or public sector clients is a plus.
Proficiency in tools used for project tracking, reporting, and documentation.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
