Junior PMO Analyst
Position Overview:
Offers an excellent opportunity to develop project management skills while contributing to critical
IT solutions, process improvements, and digital transformation efforts. The ideal candidate will
assist in project coordination, data analysis, and PMO operations while learning from
experienced professionals in a dynamic technology environment.
Job Duties include:
Project Support and Coordination:
Assist Project Managers in tracking project milestones, deliverables, and timelines across
multiple IT initiatives
Maintain project documentation including project charters, status reports, and meeting minutes
Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute action items
Support resource allocation tracking and capacity planning activities
Monitor project risks and issues logs, escalating concerns as appropriate
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect and analyze project performance metrics including schedule variance, budget
adherence, and resource utilization
Assist in root cause analysis for project delays or issues
Generate weekly and monthly PMO status reports for leadership review
Support the development of KPIs and success metrics for IT initiatives
Stakeholder Communication:
Facilitate communication between project teams, IT departments, and business stakeholders
Assist in preparing executive-level presentations and project updates
Support change management activities and stakeholder engagement efforts
Help maintain the PMO SharePoint site or project repository
Administrative and Operational Support:
Maintain the master project portfolio and project inventory
Support budget tracking and invoice processing for IT projects
Assist with vendor management and procurement activities
Help onboard new project team members to PMO processes
Coordinate training sessions and knowledge sharing activities
Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
0-2 years of experience in project coordination, business analysis, or IT support roles
Internship or academic project experience in project management is a plus
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
Basic understanding of project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
Familiarity with data visualization tools
Experience with collaboration platforms (SharePoint, Teams, Confluence, Microsoft DevOps)
Basic understanding of IT concepts and terminology

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Success Metrics (First Year):
Successfully support 3-5 concurrent IT projects
Achieve 95% accuracy in project reporting and documentation
Complete CAPM certification or equivalent training
Contribute to at least 2 process improvement initiatives
Receive satisfactory ratings from project managers and stakeholders
