Quality Engineer
System One is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our client, a leading manufacturing organization. This role is critical in ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards through robust quality control systems, data-driven analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
Position Overview
The Quality Engineer will develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and customer requirements. This position involves monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

• Establish benchmarks for product quality, manufacturing processes, and testing procedures.
• Track key metrics, perform inspections, and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Investigate product or process issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, regulatory, and customer standards.
• Design and maintain quality control systems, including testing protocols, inspection processes, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and other teams to communicate quality standards and resolve issues.
• Identify and implement strategies to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related field preferred; or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience:
  • Prior experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ASME Sect. VIII Div. I standards.
  • ISO 9001 Auditor certification required.
• Skills:
  • Technical expertise in manufacturing processes and quality methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience conducting internal audits and assessments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally climb or balance.
• Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying conditions.

Work Environment

• Combination of office and production floor settings.
• Requires adherence to safety protocols and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
