Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled EDI Tester to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in testing EDI transactions and systems, coupled with proficiency in SQL for data validation and reporting purposes. As an EDI Tester, you will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of our EDI processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform end-to-end testing of EDI transactions, including inbound and outbound processes.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for EDI systems.
  • Validate EDI mappings, translations, and transformations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EDI transactions and system integrations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper implementation of EDI requirements.
  • Utilize SQL queries for data validation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Document test results, defects, and resolutions.
  • Conduct regression testing and participate in system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Stay updated with industry standards and best practices related to EDI testing and SQL.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an EDI Tester or similar role, with a strong understanding of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for data querying, manipulation, and validation.
  • Familiarity with EDI tools and software (e.g., Gentran, BizTalk, EDI Notepad).
  • Ability to interpret EDI specifications and map documents (837, 835, 834, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in EDI (such as EDI Professional Certification) is a plus.
