Title: Technician Standard II - NOC Technician II

Duration: 12 Month - Long Term

Location: Washington, DC 20433

 

100% Onsite : This position required the technician to work onsite at the location and take rotation through weekend and night shifts.

24/7, weekend, and holidays, on location

Position Overview:

The Network Operations Center (NOC) is part of the Network Infrastructure Unit (ITSNI), which falls under Information Technology Solutions (ITS). The NOC is primarily responsible for monitoring and performing 1st and 2nd level troubleshooting of the Local and global networks, logging, and tracking problems, while testing new link/network equipment for readiness.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Monitor network infrastructure using various monitoring tools (e.g. PRTG, SmokePing, etc..),

Provide 1st and 2nd level network and communication link infrastructure support to the engineers, HQ IT, and Country Offices (CO)

Perform 1st and 2nd level troubleshooting of the Bank's Local Area Network (LAN) and Global Communications networks, including all aspects of the network infrastructure (switches, routers, specialized servers), as well as communication links infrastructure (VSAT, MPLS, IPL, Internet2, etc.)

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

Good knowledge and understanding of LAN (wired and wireless)/WAN technology

Good Understanding in various network monitoring tools (PRTG, SmokePing, etc..)

Advanced knowledge of CISCO operation system/Cisco Services

Good Knowledge of Incident Management system (ServiceNow or equivalent)

Knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud technologies

Good knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Excel

Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems independently, as well as in collaboration with a team

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment, and deal sensitively in a multi-cultural environment, and build effective working relations with clients and colleagues

Excellent customer service, technical, and analytical skills
