DPP is seeking a Senior Java Developer for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Work arrangement:
- Fully onsite in Columbia, SC
- W2 position; 6 months
- The Senior Java Developer is a key member of a cross-functional Agile Scrum team, collaborating with front-end and back-end developers, business analysts, system testers, and operations staff to support and enhance enterprise applications.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications through break fixes and new development.
- Provide recommendations for issue resolution and system enhancements within budget and timeline constraints.
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Exhibit leadership capabilities in technical decision-making and team collaboration.
- Proficient in Java, JSP, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.
- Skilled in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, AJAX, jQuery, and JSON.
- Familiarity with SOAP and RESTful Web Services, including WSDL, JAVA-RS, and Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of Mutual Authentication and Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) mitigation.
- Strong experience with SQL Server and MySQL databases.
- Version control using GitHub.
- Agile development experience using Scrum methodology.
- Spring Security
- MQ (Message Queuing)
- DevOps tools: Gradle, Jenkins
- Monitoring and diagnostics: Splunk
- Development environments: Eclipse, NetBeans
- Testing and integration tools: SOAPUI, Apache
- 8 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
- OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
- OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 12 years without a degree)
