Mid Level Software Engineer-DevSecOps (Virtual)

The Boeing Company is looking for a Mid Level Software Engineer-DevSecOps (Virtual) to join the Enterprise Software Products and Capabilities Utilities and Tools team across the US and the globe. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Enterprise Software Engineering and all Boeing Business Divisions.
As part of Boeing AvionX Utilities this position will support the architecture, development, deployment and certification of a CI/CD environment for large software systems that span multiple virtual, cloud based, developmental and production hardware environments. Support the integration and test of complex software components into fully functional software systems. The organization and your work will allow for the successful development and production of multiple Avionics Software/Hardware Systems for use on both BCA and BDS platforms while working with a global distributed team of software engineers.
Boeing AvionX provides a flexible work environment with options including partial to nearly full-time virtual work.

Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and Enhance our CI/CD operations in multiple software system integration and test environments
- Perform in the entire software development life cycle of the CI/CD pipeline
- Collaborate on idea creation and development of the CI/CD pipeline
- Support the ongoing lifecycle maintenance of the CI/CD pipeline
- Support the software quality efforts of our Boeing product deliveries to our customers
- Supports development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.
- Supports development of software integration/verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
- Supports development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
- Tracks and evaluates software team performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.

- Work closely with developers, testers, and system engineers from multiple product teams
- Suggest modifications to the CI/CD workflow to improve efficiency
- Research and pitch new tools/products to the team
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 7+ years of experience cloud security architecture and design, with a focus on major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- 7+ years of experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), deploying to cloud environments
- 7+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or integration and test experience with mission systems on tactical platforms
- 7+ years of experience working with and supporting systems with Windows and Linux Operating System (OS)
- 7+ years of experience in Automation and CI/CD techniques and design patterns
- 2+ years of technical leadership and team leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- Direct practical experience and advanced knowledge of the CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools.
- Strong communication skills and a self-starter that can thrive in a distributed remote work environment.
- Understanding of designing and implementing full stack/Microservice infrastructure.
- Can set up and manage a toolchain using tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Artifactory, MatLab, LDRA, SonarQube and more.
- Experience with SaaS architecture and cloud-based development
- Experience with DO-178C/DO-330 certification
