Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer with strong expertise in DBT (Data Build Tool), Snowflake, and PL/SQL to join our dynamic and growing data team. This role is critical to designing and maintaining scalable, high-performance data transformation pipelines that drive business intelligence, analytics, and data science initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain modular, scalable data transformation pipelines using DBT on Snowflake.
  • Write high-quality, efficient PL/SQL code to perform complex data processing and transformation tasks.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable solutions.
  • Optimize Snowflake environments through query tuning, partitioning, clustering, and resource management techniques.
  • Ensure data quality and governance by implementing testing frameworks, validation rules, documentation standards, and monitoring.
  • Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and best practice sharing across the engineering team.

Qualifications:

  • India: Minimum 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
  • US: Minimum 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with DBT, including model development, testing, documentation, and deployment.
  • Proven expertise in Snowflake, including data warehousing principles, security configurations, performance optimization, and cost management.
  • Advanced proficiency in PL/SQL, with experience building and maintaining complex stored procedures, functions, and packages.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema, normalization techniques).
  • Proficient in version control systems (e.g., Git) and comfortable working with CI/CD workflows.
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt Cloud, or Prefect is a strong plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in cloud-native data environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure)
  • Exposure to data governance frameworks and data cataloging tools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
