Hi Friends

We are looking for Oracle Hcm Consultant for our client New York Hospital

Role: Oracle Hcm Consultant

Client: New York Hospital

Location: Remote

Job Description

1. Time & Labor Integration

  • Knowledge of time collection methods (web clock, time devices, timesheet entry) and how those records integrate with Payroll and Absence modules.

  • Designing and managing inbound/outbound integrations with external timekeeping systems (Kronos, ADP, Workbrain, etc.) using HCM Extracts, REST/SOAP APIs, or Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).

  • Handling validations for time card exceptions, OT rules, shift differentials.

  • Understanding of integration impacts on downstream payroll processing.

2. Absence Management

  • Configuring absence plans, accruals, and entitlement rules, plus integration touchpoints with Payroll and Time & Labor.

  • Experience with delivering absence data to third-party benefits or payroll systems.

  • Leveraging REST APIs or HCM Extracts to automate balance updates or sync external leave requests.

  • Knowledge of how absence balances are recalculated during retro events.

3. HCM Data Loader (HDL / HSDL)

  • Hands-on experience preparing HDL dat files for bulk employee loads, job changes, salary updates, and correcting errors.

  • Using HSDL for business-user-friendly data loading and understanding when to use HDL vs HSDL.

  • Debugging HDL errors (diagnosing Worker.dat errors, parent-child record dependencies).

  • Automating HDL loads with scripts or integrating with middleware tools like OIC.

4. Testing & Releases

  • Building end-to-end test scenarios for integrations (time card payroll GL).

  • Regression testing after quarterly Oracle releases, focusing on API/extract schema changes.

  • Validating custom OTBI/BIP reports and integrations after patches.

  • Use of tools like Selenium, OATS, or Postman for testing APIs and integration endpoints.

  • Experience coordinating UAT with HR/payroll teams and ensuring sign-offs.

5. Third-Party Integrations

  • Experience mapping HCM data with benefit providers, payroll vendors, and identity management systems.

  • Design patterns: flat-file extracts via SFTP, REST/SOAP APIs, OIC orchestrations.

  • Error handling and logging strategy for automated integrations.

  • Ensuring compliance with data privacy/security in third-party transfers (encryption, masking).

  • Real-world example: integrating Oracle HCM with ADP payroll or Workday Financials.
