Job Title: Call Center Agent
Location : Remote (local to Phoenix, AZ)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Call Center Agent to join our team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to individuals and businesses regarding tax compliance, delinquency, and general inquiries. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a positive attitude, excellent multitasking ability, and a passion for helping others.
This role requires professionalism, accuracy, and empathy while handling a high volume of inbound calls in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and manage inbound customer calls related to individual and business tax inquiries.
- Resolve Tier 1 level issues quickly and accurately.
- Review and update taxpayer accounts with verified information.
- Educate customers on online resources and current tax policies.
- Assist taxpayers with payment arrangement requests and account documentation.
- Enter and maintain accurate notes across multiple systems simultaneously.
- Participate actively in team meetings, engagement activities, and performance initiatives.
- Meet and maintain established performance metrics and service-level goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong ability to multitask and manage several systems simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace tools.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to retain information, follow procedures, and think creatively when solving problems.
- Organized, goal-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) communication skills.
- Experience in process improvement, banking, or financial customer service.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume call center, with at least 1 year in each of the last two positions.
- Experience in finance, banking, insurance, or telecommunications (non-technical support) preferred.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate s Degree or higher preferred.
