Job Details

Job Title: SOX Audit Project Manager or Program Manager

Hybrid - Norwalk,CT

Contract Duration - 6+ Months

Must have 3-5 years of recent experience managing SOX Audits! Strong understanding of SOX 404, ITGCs, and control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, COSO).

Key Responsibilities:

**Audit Engagement & Meeting Support:
- Attend and actively participate in audit meetings with internal stakeholders and external auditors (Big 4 and other consulting firms).
- Capture detailed meeting notes, track decisions, discrepancies, and action items.
- Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding issues.

**SOX Compliance Execution:
- Support the execution of IT(IT General Controls) and automated control testing.
- Assist in evidence collection, validation, and submission in alignment with audit timelines.
- Identify gaps in compliance and escalate risks appropriately.

**Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, Legal, and Risk to ensure alignment and timely delivery of audit requirements.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and auditors to clarify control design and implementation.

**Program Management & Reporting:
- Maintain and update audit tracking tools and dashboards.
- Provide regular status updates to PMO leadership and executive sponsors.
- Drive accountability for audit deliverables and escalate blockers to leadership.

Qualifications:

**Required Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in IT SOX audits, compliance, or risk management.
- Proven track record of working with C-level executives and external auditors.
- Strong understanding of SOX 404, ITGCs, and control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, COSO).

**Skills & Competencies:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in tools like Excel, SharePoint, Jira, and audit management platforms.

**Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
CISA, CIA, or similar certification preferred.
