Job Details
Seeking a highly skilled SQL / Snowflake Engineer for our Direct Client with 10+ years of experience in SQL, Stored Procedures and Snowflake Integration with technical documentation skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, data visualization, and business intelligence best practices. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing BI solutions to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions along with documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with key engineers, review and analyze database scripts, SQL/Stored procedures, to document the existing "as-is" process.
- Recommend process improvement, "To-be" processes and modernization based on Snowflake environment.
- Develop and optimize BI solutions using Snowflake and Qlik to support data-driven decision-making.
- Design, implement, and maintain data models in Snowflake to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple Data sources into Snowflake using best ETL practices.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency through data validation and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
- Optimize queries and performance tuning in Snowflake to improve report response times.
- Collaborate with implementation team to recommend and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Create interactive dashboards and reports in Qlik Sense/QlikView that provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Implement and enforce data governance and security policies within Snowflake and Qlik environments.
- Stay updated with the latest BI and data technologies to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
- Provide documentation and training to end-users on BI solutions and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in SQL for writing complex queries, stored procedures, and optimizing database performance.
- Expertise in Snowflake data modeling, query optimization, performance tuning, and data warehousing concepts.
- Good to have Qlik Sense/QlikView dashboard development, data visualization, scripting, and UI design experience.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Talend for data extraction and transformation.
- Familiar with integrating BI solutions with other platforms such as Tableau / Power BI plus.
- Experience data governance, security, and compliance requirements in BI environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
