Job Description

Seeking a Senior AWS/Linux Systems Engineer with deep experience in AWS Cloud, Linux administration, automation, scripting, and enterprise infrastructure operations. This hybrid role requires hands-on engineering as well as collaboration with DevOps, Operations, and IAM teams.


Responsibilities

  • Architect, engineer, configure, and deploy AWS and on-prem infrastructure solutions

  • Work closely with System Operations to build self-service provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, logging, and monitoring services

  • Update system documentation and support operational processes

  • Install and configure applications and servers (physical & virtual)

  • Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and improve infrastructure performance

  • Operate monitoring, alerting, backups, antivirus, anti-spam, malware tools, and offsite storage systems

  • Manage user profiles, AD groups, OU structure, and multi-factor authentication resets

  • Maintain AD custom attributes and security groups

  • Support IAM functions including user/group management, password operations, and metrics

  • Respond to audit requests and ensure compliance standards are met

  • Write, update, and maintain procedural documentation

  • Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and provide audit evidence

  • Develop scripts to automate repetitive tasks


Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years in Systems Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering

  • Strong AWS architecture and AWS CLI experience

  • Hands-on Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)

  • Shell scripting: Shell, Perl, Python

  • Experience with ECS, EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and other AWS services

  • Unix/Linux installation, operations, security, and troubleshooting

  • Understanding of ports, protocols, routing, and switching in enterprise networks

  • Experience with public cloud infrastructure management

  • Strong experience in mature enterprise environments and best practices


Nice to Have

  • RHEL Satellite experience

  • Puppet experience

  • Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence)

  • Experience supporting Identity and Access Management operations
