Job Summary:

The Associate Product Development Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, development, and commercialization of medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality systems. This role involves managing multiple projects under general guidance, solving complex problems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring safe and effective products to market efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams to support the development and launch of medical devices.
  • Manage multiple product development projects, ensuring alignment with design control requirements and regulatory timelines.
  • Support risk management activities (e.g., FMEA) and ensure compliance with ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and other applicable standards.
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce time to market, and optimize development processes.
  • Participate in design reviews, verification and validation testing, and transfer to manufacturing activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience.
  • 0-3+ years of experience in product development, preferably within the medical device or life sciences industry.
  • Familiarity with design controls, risk management, and regulatory requirements for medical devices.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
