Implementation Specialist I

Brief Position Description:
Professional Services department is looking for energetic, customer friendly and innovative personnel for executing project implementation activities. The Implementation Specialist I will interact with Aptys customers to implement our software solutions in a hosted or on-prem environment. This person will also act as the Product SME providing guidance to customer on best practices and operational procedures of using the product. The Implementation Specialist I will gather and document the requirements, configure the product, provide training, and test to ensure that it is working as expected per customer provided specifications
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Execute and participate in project implementation activities.
- Learn and understand business domain, Aptys product features, capabilities and independently perform Product SME responsibilities.
- Create and maintain project implementation document and templates.
- Understand implementation scope, collect, document and review system configuration parameters for the in-scope product modules.
- Collect, document, understand, build and deploy business logic for Aptys products.
- Collect & document parameters, configure and test the application.
- Prepare training materials for use by customer and internal teams.
- Conduct product demos, provide functional and operational use training to the customer and assistance during testing.
- Analyze, report and track defects reported by customer during project lifecycle.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 assistance triaging implementation and support tickets. Troubleshoot and provide functional solution for issues reported or coordinate the defect fix with Product and Development teams.
- Discuss, collect, and document functional requirements for product enhancement requests or integrations into external applications.
- Lead and coordinate discussion for enhancements requested by customer. Suggest alternate methods existing within the product wherever possible.
- Work closely with Aptys Product Management and Development teams to clarify on existing and features enhancements requested by the customer.
- Support production go-live and system handover to Aptys Support team upon completion of the project.
- Execute tasks and coordinate with vendors to onboard customer and their clients to Aptys products.
- Provide support to Aptys teams during pre-sales process to prospective customers.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience working with external clients for requirements gathering, software configuration, testing and training.
- Conducting product demos and trainings in a classroom to live audience or prerecorded sessions.
- Strong organizational, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understand project priorities and complete the assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to set priorities and work on multiple project implementations simultaneously
- Self-starter willing to take initiative and work independently while being remote.
- Ability to work in a cross functional environment, willing to learn and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- A team player with strong relationship building skills and lead discussion with customers and Aptys team members.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in payments industry. Prior experience with Image Cash Letters, ACH or Wires is preferred.
- Prior experience with Aptys software solutions is a plus.
- 3 years of software implementation experience, understanding of project lifecycle and change control process.
