Job Details

Our Fixed Income- Broker Dealer client is seeking a Sr. IT Network and Desktop Specialist to join their small IT team. This role will work with the Head of IT to support all technology needs across the organization. While the primary focus is desktop support, the position will also assist with basic network, firewall, and VoIP systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their skill set toward broader IT infrastructure responsibilities and leadership growth in the future

**THIS IS ONSITE -NO 3RD PARTIES -UNABLE TO SUBCONTRACT OR TRANSFER VISAS**

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on Tier 2/3 desktop support for all end users, resolving hardware, software, and peripheral issues efficiently.
  • Support and troubleshoot Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone systems.
  • Assist with basic network and firewall troubleshooting, including Cisco ASA firewalls (training will be provided as needed).
  • Take ownership of issues, following them through resolution even if they involve other IT areas such as servers or firewalls.
  • Collaborate with the Head of IT to maintain, secure, and optimize the organization s technology environment.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, asset inventories, and user support records.
  • Demonstrate initiative in learning new technologies and expanding responsibilities over time.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10+ years of experience in desktop support or similar IT roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows desktop environments, hardware troubleshooting, and common enterprise applications.
  • Understanding of basic network and firewall concepts; willingness and ability to learn hands-on firewall administration (especially Cisco ASA).
  • Experience supporting VoIP telephone systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a small-team environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Desire and ambition to grow into broader IT infrastructure roles and eventually into IT leadership.
  • Provides timely and accurate response to assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrates capacity to adapt and learn in a dynamic work environment.
  • Manages time effectively, is punctual and responds to requests to work flexible hours.
  • Self-motivated to learn and acquire new skills.

Preferred:

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are a plus but not required.
  • Exposure to server administration or security practices.
