Role: SAP Technical Writer (S/4HANA Project Support)

Job Summary: We are seeking SAP Technical Writers to support a major S/4HANA implementation project. These resources will work as part of the project team, functioning like internal staff under the leased employee model. The writers will collaborate with project stakeholders and SMEs, document business processes, and create detailed process flows to support system design, configuration, and end-user adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project stakeholders and SMEs to understand business processes.
- Develop detailed business process documentation and process flow mappings for S/4HANA.
- Use process mapping software (e.g., Visio) to create visual process representations.
- Ensure process maps capture key steps, decision points, roles, inputs/outputs.
- Document, review, and route all processes listed in process inventory.
- Function as an embedded member of the project team, taking direction from the project leads.
- Track work on a time and materials basis to meet project demands.
- Adhere to policies, confidentiality, and professional conduct standards.
- Minimum 2 years of professional technical writing experience, preferably in IT/business.
- Proven ability to create clear, concise, accurate documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience writing business process manuals, user guides, training materials, and technical specifications.
- Prior experience in at least one SAP project documenting business processes.
- Familiarity with SAP terminology, modules, and project documentation practices.
- Knowledge of SAP modules (ECC or S/4HANA).
- Strong understanding of business operations and workflows in utility or similar organizations.
- Ability to map and analyze complex business processes.
- Excellent writing, editing, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with process mapping/document management tools.
- Ability to use screenshot and image editing tools for enhanced documentation.
- Skilled at translating technical jargon into user-friendly language.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple documentation projects.
- Background in SAP environments with hands-on experience.
- SAP Certifications (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, S/4HANA Business Process Integration).
- Experience working on cross-functional SAP projects.
