QA Automation(Playwright) Test Manager

As an Automation Test Manager, your primary responsibilities are to provide leadership and guidance for implementing test automation across multiple applications throughout the program. You will work directly with the client to provide automation test strategies, solutions, and progress. You will collaborate with the program test manager, product owners, business analysts, application leads, and automation testers on current and future automation initiatives. You will provide hands-on support for the automation testers, which may include automation code reviews, developing and executing automation tests.

Responsibilities:

• Provide overviews with metrics and trends as to the quantity and quality of automation work done to date and planned work.
• Provides Scrum Master services to a small automation scrum team per QA manual testing direction/backlog.
• Manage multiple automation work efforts and flex to frequent needs as they occur.
• Assist in problem solving and leads defect management and remediation for automation test.
• Facilitate training and knowledge transfer for test automation scripts.
• Provide guidance and oversite of the automation test deliverables, acceptance criteria, KPIs and timelines of the project to success.
• Provide the strategy and scope of the automation.
• Work with the Automation Lead to design to specifications to the integration points of the test tools and the expected deliverables of each tool.
• Facilitate Test automation script review, approval, and maintenance.
• Work with the business to ensure the technical specifications match the business needs/specifications with the tool integrations.
• Documents in detail the Framework/Integration, the implementation design, any lesson learned, all project documentation, and any knowledge transfer sessions.
• Oversee and manage the automation test architect support staff resources.

Requirements:

• 10+ years in IT application development with 5+ years of experience successfully working in testing automation design, development, and implementation projects, with the ability to demonstrate having performed project management type functions.
• Strong knowledge of Playwright automation tool or equivalent, Git/GitHub code management or equivalent.
• Experience with Visual Studio Code, NodeJS, SauceLabs, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Postman/SoapUI, Atlas/Compass for Mongo DB, Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, Microsoft Teams
• Hands on experience as an active scrum team member with strong JIRA experience. Ability and interest in fulfilling the role of Scrum Master.
• Strong business acumen, logical problem solving, technical knowledge, and high attention to detail to understand complex issues and workflow systems.
• Project experience with system integration, application, and software development.
• Persuasive and an effective collaborator and communicator to matrixed resources assigned to agile projects, to deliver on their tasks on time and within budget.
• Well versed in Agile SDLC methodologies, CI/CD pipelines.
• Certification or hands on experience as a Scrum Master. PMP Certification or hands on experience as a Project Manager.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field
