Job Details

Job Title : OSS Solution Architect
Location: Tampa(Florida) 3 days onsite at office per week preferred

Technical Architect with deep expertise in the Operations Support Systems (OSS) domain to design and oversee end-to-end OSS solutions for telecom networks. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of network components/topologies, with deep experience in the OSS domain to design, guide, and implement robust and scalable OSS solutions. The candidate must possess strong expertise in OSS platforms, telecom network technologies, integration patterns, and software architecture best practices, to play a key role in translating high-level solution designs into technical blueprints and overseeing the technical realization of OSS systems, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, future-proof, and efficient OSS architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze business requirements and translate them into architectural blueprints for OSS systems.

Evaluate and build solutions for OSS tools, platforms, and frameworks (e.g., Nokia, Ericsson, Ciena, Cisco Network elements, transport, RAN devices etc.).

Guide the development and implementation teams, ensuring architectural integrity and adherence to best practices.

Document architecture designs, decisions, and roadmaps. Maintain program documentation, decision logs, and architecture summaries.

Ensure OSS architecture supports emerging trends like SDN/NFV, 5G, AI/ML, and cloud-native designs.

Define program scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders

Create and manage detailed program plans, timelines, and roadmaps

Break down large initiatives into manageable workstreams and milestones

Act as the primary point of contact between Business owners, SME, and client POC s

Provide regular updates to stakeholders and Manage expectations and build alignment across diverse teams

Understand system architecture, data flows, and technical dependencies

Collaboration with the development team to assess feasibility and technical trade-offs.

Drive resolution of cross-functional technical issues or blockers

Drive cross-team initiatives such as platform migrations, architectural changes, or scaling efforts

Champion Agile/Scrum practices (using MVP, Feature) across engineering and product teams. Using Kanban / Jira or other project tracking tools.

Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and program-level stand-ups.

Identify, track, and mitigate program risks and issues.

Proactively flag potential delivery risks or scope changes.

Manage escalations and drive resolution with minimal disruption.

Track program using KPIs, OKRs, or user usage of tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

14+ years of experience in telecom OSS domain, with at least 5 years in a technical architect role.

Strong understanding of OSS domains.

Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Familiarity with telecom network domains: IP, transport, RAN, 5G, SDN/NFV.

Proficient in programming/scripting languages: Python, Shell, or JavaScript.

Experience in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and cloud platforms.
