CPH is a multi-disciplinary Engineering and Architecture firm that ranks in the nation's Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine. We are seeking an Engineer III or IV to join our Municipal Infrastructure team in Miami!
We are offering a hiring bonus of up to $10,000 for selected candidate!
The Engineer III / Engineer IV will be responsible for the design, permitting, and execution of projects that enhance essential infrastructure and public services. You will work closely with engineers, planners, and agency stakeholders throughout every phase of project delivery. This position is ideal for experienced professionals with a strong background in public-sector engineering, including water and wastewater systems, stormwater management, roadway design, transportation improvements, and utility coordination.

This position is ideal for experienced professionals with a strong background in public-sector engineering, including water and wastewater systems, stormwater management, roadway design, transportation improvements, and utility coordination.
Duties Include
- Lead the planning, permitting, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects in Florida, including: Water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems, Stormwater management and drainage infrastructure, Roadway and transportation improvements, Municipal utility coordination with agencies and jurisdictions
- Prepare and oversee construction documents including civil/site plans, technical specifications, design reports, and cost estimates, ensuring adherence to CPH's quality standards
- Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) for municipal projects, ensuring compliance with Florida statutes, agency regulations, and utility design standards
- Collaborate closely with engineers, technical designers, CAD/modeling staff, and planners throughout project execution
- Conduct field investigations, attend client and agency meetings, and support construction-phase services
- Coordinate with permitting agencies including FDEP, FDOT, and local water management districts
- Support Project Managers in developing scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Ensure all work aligns with client goals and quality expectations through proactive communication and coordination
- Promote practical, cost-effective design solutions that meet long-term municipal infrastructure need
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with Deltek Vision, Smartsheet, or similar software platforms
- Comfortable working and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to effectively multi-task while adhering to project schedules and budgets
- Knowledge of codes and design and construction practices
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- P.E. license in the state of Florida
- Minimum 5+ years of experience (for Engineer III) and 8+ years of experience (for Engineer IV or higher) with water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems, stormwater management and drainage infrastructure, roadway and transportation improvements, and municipal utility coordination
- Working knowledge of agency requirements including FDOT, FDEP, local Water Management Entities, etc.
