We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development and deployment of our innovative energy solutions. As a DevOps Engineer, you will work with cutting-edge technologies and work with a team of talented engineers to ensure system consistency, improve customer experience, and achieve high availability and performance of our services. This role is customer-facing, so excellent communication skills are essential. Responsibilities:
1. Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS.
2. Understand, implement, and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation.
3. Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS.
4. Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform.
5. Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes.
6. Work closely with the development team to integrate new deployment processes and strategies.
7. Maintain and improve our AWS infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
8. Act as a point of contact for technical issues for customers, providing effective and efficient problem-solving solutions.
9. Use New Relic and other tools to monitor and troubleshoot systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
10. Participate in on-call rotations, providing after-hours support as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role or similar.
3. Strong experience with AWS and its suite of services.
4. Proficiency in using New Relic for application monitoring and performance management.
5. Experience in site reliability engineering, ensuring high availability and performance of systems.
6. Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
9. A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Familiarity with the energy industry is a plus, but not required.
11. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification is preferred.
