Detailed Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail oriented Failure Analysis Coordinator / Failure Analysis Program Manager to oversee and coordinate end-to-end failure analysis (FA) processes in a high-tech manufacturing or supply chain environment. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical liaison between Business Unit (BU) Engineering, component suppliers, contract manufacturers (CMs), and internal FA teams, ensuring timely communication, robust analysis, and efficient resolution of hardware component failures.
This position requires strong project management skills, a solid understanding of hardware systems, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholder interactions across global time zones. You will play a key role in managing the quality management system (QMS) updates, driving vendors for FA reports, and delivering data-driven insights to improve product quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between BU Engineering, Suppliers and FA team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration. Follow up closely with each stakeholder to ensure FA timelines are met.
- Manage and update FA case status efficiently in QMS (from FI to ship out) for timely analysis and resolution.
- Facilitation and Reporting, Ensure smooth and timely execution of Failure Analysis process and report findings in a clear and concise manner for customer reporting.
- QMS status update of component FARC cases, identifying overdue FARC reports from vendors, driving vendors (thru CE or otherwise) for obtaining FA reports, and work with component engineers, BU FA team, CM FA sites to identify component failure trends and recommended corrective action.
- Utilize prior experience in hardware engineering to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
- Apply project management skills to oversee and drive FA to successful completion.
- Proficiency expected in data analysis/SQL/Tableau/Excel/Powerpoint skills , Knowledge of CDET tool good to have
- Work with BU engineering to collect evidence (PPT/screenshots/logs) and update QMS attachments.
- Expected to work across time zones with global teams & vendors.
