Camera Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Camera Technician in Richmond, VA.

Key Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems including IP cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and monitoring stations
* Manage and optimize Axis Communications camera systems using Axis Camera Station and related tools
* Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Node.js to streamline system monitoring, reporting, and maintenance tasks
* Integrate CCTV systems with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure for remote access, storage, and analytics
* Use GitHub for version control of scripts, documentation, and configuration files
* Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to surveillance systems, networking, and storage
* Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure seamless integration with enterprise infrastructure
* Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, changes, and procedures
* Ensure compliance with privacy laws, security policies, and industry standards

REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, IT, or cybersecurity preferred
* 3+ years of experience in CCTV installation and support, with a focus on IP-based systems
* Hands-on experience with Axis Communications products and management tools
* Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell and Node.js
* Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, including storage, virtual machines, and networking
* Experience using GitHub for code management and collaboration
* Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and structured cabling
* Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks across different sites

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
