Job Details

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an IT Project Manager - New Premises Buildout for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Dallas, TX. He or she will need to work in the office 2-3 days/week initially, then 5 days/week when the office opens in November.

The firm is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver all technology-related aspects of a new office/premises build-out. This role requires close collaboration with Real Estate, Facilities, Vendors, and IT teams to ensure seamless delivery of infrastructure, end-user technology, and business services. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of orchestrating multiple workstreams that ensure the premises is fully operational on Day One.

Success in this role means delivering the new premises with all IT services fully operational on Day 1 and ensuring a smooth transition for employees with minimal disruption.

Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership
    • Own end-to-end delivery of IT services for the new premises build, from requirements gathering to handover.
    • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
    • Drive alignment between IT, Real Estate, Facilities, and external vendors.
  • Technology Enablement
    • Oversee the design, procurement, and implementation of network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), voice services, and collaboration tools.
    • Coordinate setup of data cabling, AV systems, security systems, and end-user hardware deployment.
    • Ensure IT systems are integrated with building management systems where applicable.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management
    • Serve as the primary liaison between IT and Real Estate/Facilities teams to align on construction timelines and dependencies.
    • Manage third-party vendors (telecom, cabling, AV, security, furniture/technology integrators).
    • Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders on progress, issues, and milestones.
  • Operational Readiness
    • Ensure all IT services are tested and validated before occupancy.
    • Oversee logistics for end-user moves, technology setup, and Day 1 support.
    • Deliver proper documentation and transition into steady-state operations.

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of project management experience in IT infrastructure and/or office build-outs.
  • Proven track record managing cross-functional projects involving Real Estate, Facilities, and IT.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, AV, cabling, voice/telecom, and end-user technologies.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or related field.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and complex dependencies.
  • Strong problem-solving and risk mitigation skills.
  • Adept at managing vendors and contract deliverables.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Collaborative leadership style with strong influencing skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification preferred.
