3Core Systems is looking for Azure DevOps Engineer for one of our clients in Deerfield Beach, FL (Hybrid - 3/2)

Title: Azure DevOps Engineer
Location: Deerfield Beach, FL (Hybrid - 3/2)
Duration: 6 Months+

Responsibilities:

• Define, document, and deliver a multi-year Software DevOps Strategy Plan and Software DevOps Execution Plan
• Lead the DevOps team by providing technical guidance and training as well as fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Prepare, maintain, and implement the comprehensive policies and technical documentation of best practices for all implemented system configurations ensuring efficient planning and execution.
• Design, implement, and manage automated build pipeline, deployments, and configurations using CI/CD pipelines in AZURE for applications and services.
• Build and release tools to be used by software engineering teams for reliable and repeatable cloud deployments.
• Create and maintain infrastructure for local, on-premises and cloud applications monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Implement abstractions to simplify the complexities of cloud providers (AZURE in particular), open-source technologies (Kubernetes in particular), and internal infrastructure.
• Respond to real-time scaling and operational challenges.
• Proactively monitor health of environment and act on fixing any issues and improve the performance of environments.
• Manage multiple environments using proper access controls and processes to maintain environment integrity.
• Follow security policies and best practices for the infrastructure and products.
• Work with developers to ensure best practices and proper utilization of resources to control AZURE cloud hosting costs.
• Ensure operational efficiency, reliability, and up-time of the systems/subsystems/software applications in local, network and cloud-based platforms.
• Support the commitments to risk management, protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data as well as archiving and retention practices.
• Collaborate and communicate with management and internal partners regarding software projects progress, and issue resolution.
• Represent the DevOps Team on all larger and more-complex development projects. Builds strategy to bridge the gap between the developers and the operations teams.
• Leverages best practices to automate and integrate software development teams' efforts and outputs to help them build, test, and release software swiftly and reliably.
• Design a secure development process, a version control strategy, integrate source control, implement a build strategy, design a release strategy, set up a release management workflow, implement an appropriate deployment pattern, design an infrastructure and configuration management strategy, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Qualifications:

• Knowledge, experience, and expertise in different areas of Software DevOps allowing to prepare, manage, and deliver on Software DevOps Strategy Plan and Software DevOps Operational/Execution Plan.
• Strong knowledge in deployment of cloud-based services, architectures, and platforms
• Strong knowledge of AZURE services.
• Strong knowledge with two or more: Bicep
• Proficiency with using and debugging networks, VDNS, HTTP, TLS, load-balancing, build systems, and containers.
• In-depth understanding of SDLC, branching strategies, source control (GitHub, etc.).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum Software Development methodology.
• People leadership skills including interpersonal, teamwork, mentoring, technical development, motivational, and communication.

Skills:

• 5+ years of strong hands-on experience with AZURE platform services & Strong hands-on end-to-end CI/CD pipeline implementation experience (specifically in AZURE)
• Leverages best practices to automate and integrate software development teams' efforts and outputs to help them build, test, and release software swiftly and reliably.
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum Software Development process & tools – ADO, GitHub.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL platforms (MSSQL, MongoDB, and Cosmos DB).
• Education & Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant experience as Software DevOps Engineer OR equivalent with increasing responsibilities and leadership experience.
